Are you an organization that serves our Youth and Elders and looks for ways to increase fundraising through golf but don’t know where to start or how to play? Are you an individual looking for ways to volunteer, connect, and learn to become a Player Development Ambassador(PDA) for golf?
August in Albuquerque will bring the ONE ABQ Challenge. Click https://www.krqe.com/news/albuquerque-metro/new-service-project-aims-to-connect-youth-and-elders-in-albuquerque/1321065776 Connecting our Youth and Elders is this years focus which compliments the goal to help people, families and communities connect through golf.
There are many organizations and volunteers who are coming together for their great causes. I am often asked by my clients and people to get them ‘ready‘ to play in a charity golf tournament/scramble to support the organizations which provide important services for ABQ.
I am also asked by the organizations to support the charity golf scramble by donating lessons for their silent auction or raffles. These organizations often mention how people tell them how people don’t sign up because they ‘think‘ they can’t play this easy game.
I feel an additional and more affective role I can play for both sectors is to provide golf clinics to help fill the golf charity events. The more people who learn how easy it can be to participate in golf, the more money the service organization can raise to make a difference.
These free clinics will be on Wed. evenings at Puerto del Sol GC at 6pm. Clubs will be provided.
